About This RoleThe Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) has been designated as the National Retrofit Delivery Body, responsible for achieving Ireland’s target of upgrading 500,000 homes to a B2 energy rating by 2030, as outlined in the Programme for Government and the National Climate Action Plan 2021.This position plays a key role in supporting IT development, process management, customer journey improvements, stakeholder engagement, and the ongoing development of the Solar PV scheme.Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to delivering the Solar PV Programme’s goals in alignment with the Climate Action Plan.Support IT development and change management for the Solar PV Programme.Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including third-party companies.Drive process improvements to enhance customer service.Support payment processing and case management.Assist with communications, including website updates, stakeholder engagement, event coordination, and other organisational tasks.Given the activity peaks within the Delivery Department, flexibility in working hours may be required during busy periods.Key Knowledge and SkillsThe ideal candidate should possess:Strong ability to foster positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, working effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.Excellent organisational skills and knowledge of business process management, including change management.Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal skills.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.Well-developed IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power BI (experience with Microsoft CRM is an advantage).A proactive approach to achieving results, with strong project management skills covering scope, time, and quality management.A creative, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to make informed decisions and drive efficiency.Ability to analyse complex issues and apply sound judgement.Experience in building energy retrofit activities is desirable but not essential.Experience and QualificationsEssential Requirements:A degree/postgraduate qualification (Level 7 or higher) in any discipline with a minimum of two years experience in an energy-related policy environment, business management, or a similar roleORLevel 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications or higher and a minimum of 5 years experience in an energy-related policy environment, business management, or a similar role.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to think strategically.A keen interest in management, climate action, home retrofitting, and renewable energy installation to support Ireland’s climate goals.
