Executive Vice President (EVP)Location: Flexible – Based Anywhere in the EU
Position OverviewOur client’s board is seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Vice President (EVP) to join their senior leadership team within the EU. This critical role involves full accountability for managing Profit & Loss (P&L) for a highly complex, decentralized organization with annual revenues exceeding €100M.
The EVP will be a key strategic leader, representing shareholders as a board member and driving growth and operational excellence. This role requires someone with a proven track record in leadership, M&A activities, and a deep understanding of high-growth, multi-site businesses.
The successful candidate will serve as a role model under the Leadership Charter, setting the standard for collaboration, accountability, and innovation throughout the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and P&L AccountabilityOversee the consolidated P&L of a decentralized organization with annual revenues exceeding €100M.Lead the formulation and execution of strategies to achieve consistent revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
Board RepresentationAct as a shareholder representative and an active member of the board, influencing critical strategic decisions.Ensure alignment between organisational objectives and board-level priorities.
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)Manage due diligence for M&A initiatives, evaluating risks, opportunities, and potential synergies.Supervise post-merger integration, ensuring seamless cultural and operational alignment.
Driving Business GrowthLead growth initiatives in a dynamic, decentralized organization by identifying new market opportunities and fostering innovation.Contribute significantly to the company’s commercial success through strategic vision and execution.
Leadership and Culture DevelopmentExemplify the principles of the Leadership Charter, promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance.Mentor and develop leadership teams to drive alignment with strategic goals.
Stakeholder RelationshipsBuild strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, investors, and strategic partners, to enhance organizational success and reputation.
Key Qualifications and SkillsLeadership Experience: At least 10 years in senior leadership roles with full P&L responsibility for a complex, multi-site business in a decentralized organization, with annual revenues exceeding €100M.Strategic and Operational Expertise: A strong ability to balance long-term strategic vision with effective hands-on execution in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.M&A Expertise: Proven experience in leading M&A processes, from due diligence to post-merger integration, is highly desirable.Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial management, revenue growth, and market dynamics.Leadership Qualities: A respected and inspirational leader capable of driving collaboration, accountability, and innovation across teams and functions.Language Requirements: Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of additional EU languages is advantageous.Mobility: Willingness to travel across the EU as required for the role.
