Site Manager – Data Centre Water Treatment Projects
About the Role:An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Site Manager to oversee the mechanical and electrical aspects of Data Centre Water Treatment projects across Europe. This role involves managing the installation and commissioning of water treatment systems, ensuring all works are completed to the highest standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, or process water engineering, coupled with leadership experience in site management. While initially based at the head office in Mallow, Co. Cork, this role will require extended travel to Finland to oversee project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:Site Installation & Commissioning: Oversee the installation of water treatment systems, including pipework, instrumentation, electrical systems, control panels, and automation systems.Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, sub-contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the site team, fostering a productive and collaborative work environment.Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations.Site Supervision: Supervise subcontractors, monitor project progress, and enforce adherence to safety protocols.Commissioning & Testing: Oversee system commissioning and testing to ensure functionality.Problem Solving: Identify and address project issues promptly to prevent delays, reporting to the Project Manager as needed.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and testing. Review installation programmes and compile monthly progress reports.Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.Health & Safety: Oversee site Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental requirements, including preparation of RAMS, site inductions, toolbox talks, and ensuring all activities are conducted safely.
Key Competencies and Skills:Background in mechanical, electrical, or process water engineering with experience in project delivery.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proven leadership skills with experience managing site teams.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including GA, P&ID, and SLD diagrams.Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practices.Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office tools.Experience in the data centre industry is an advantage.
Qualifications:Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Water Engineering (or equivalent).Full driving licence.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in site management or supervision.
